About this product

Frozen, ready to bake. Organic stone-milled ancient grains, organic pasture-raised butter, and cream, folded and cut by hand, then frozen so you can bake them the morning you want them. Scones are always on the menu; the flavor rotates with the season.

Pack of 4. Bake from frozen. Keep frozen. Greater Boston local delivery only.

Ingredients
Organic regenerative stone-milled flour, organic pasture-raised butter, organic heavy cream, organic cane sugar, organic pasture-raised egg, seasonal fruit or add-ins (varies by flavor), baking powder, organic vanilla bean paste, sea salt. Brushed with organic heavy cream before baking.

Allergens: Wheat, milk, eggs. Made in a kitchen that also uses: Tree nuts, peanuts, soy, sesame

Baking instructions
Bake from frozen. Heat the oven to 400°F. Set the frozen scones 2 to 3 inches apart on a parchment-lined sheet. Brush the tops with heavy cream and sprinkle with coarse sugar if you like. Bake 22 to 28 minutes, until the edges are golden and the centers are set (a few minutes longer than fresh scones). Cool 10 minutes on the sheet.
Simple glaze (optional): whisk 1 cup (120 g) confectioners' sugar with 2 to 3 Tbsp heavy cream or milk and 1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste until smooth. Drizzle over the cooled scones. For a lemon glaze, use fresh lemon juice in place of the cream.
Weight and storage

Storage: Keep frozen until baking. Do not thaw first. Bake within 3 months. Baked scones are best the day they are baked; keep airtight up to 2 days and refresh 5 minutes in a 300°F oven.
